Ken Chung Speaks at the CATANET Forum
Ken Chung announces his candidacy for Mayor.
KELOWNA – In a last minute decision Ken Chung announced today he intends to refile his nomination papers and is seeking the mayoral seat in the upcoming November election.
“We have a strong slate of potential city councilors waiting to take on our issues. The opportunity to lead such a dynamic group has inspired me to step up and make a run for the mayor’s chair.”
He believes in growth and development for the city and wants to find creative ways to meet those demands without compromising our parks, farmland, and waterfront.
“Kelowna is currently facing numerous challenges and there will be more in the future. I’m not here to tell you I have all the answers, or to bring a slate of election promises that might not be possible to keep. I am here to work diligently with council to find viable and sensible solutions to these concerns.”
Ken Chung brings no baggage to the office. He has no political debt, no favors owed, and brings a fresh set of eyes and ears to city hall.
“It’s time for an effective leader with a strong business acumen who is able to devote their time and energy to creating a new and vibrant city. It’s time for change.”
